Central Valley’s PODER leadership group hosted its annual Women’s Panel on March 20, welcoming students from Nueva High School and four inspiring guest speakers representing women in leadership roles across the community.
This year’s panel featured Nancy Guardado of the Candyland Store in Shafter, Yasenia Acosta of Líderes Campesinas—an organization representing women leaders in agriculture throughout the Central Valley—Charletta Johnson, a local business owner, and Jasmeet Baines, an office assistant. Each speaker shared insights about leadership, perseverance, and the importance of empowering women in their respective fields.
The event provided students with an opportunity to engage with community leaders, ask questions, and gain valuable perspectives on leadership and career pathways.
