Central Valley is the only continuation school in the Kern High Chess League. Eight comprehensive high schools along with CV participate in league play. There are six tournaments played between October and January during which each player plays a total of 18 matches. After six rounds with over 100 participants there was only one undefeated player, our own Jesus Medina! After two rounds, Central Valley was in third place.
